Closeup Front & Bottom

Cheyenne Skirt

The Cheyenne Skirt was found in...where else but in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and was worn in the 1930's. It is not a riding skirt, but a terrific example of a simple ranch and run to town for supplies skirt.

The skirt has two slant pockets, decorated with studs and accented in a contrasting color. The hem repeats the contrasting color which emphasizes the hand scalloped edges from which fringe falls away at the bottom. The waistband is also graced by a scallop decoration. We love the snug fit through the hips. Laces in the back allow you to custom fit the skirt to your shape. It is made from the finest of Italian Calf.

East Boulder Skirt East Boulder Skirt

Florence Antonia Ames ranched up the South Fork, south of Cody, Wyoming on the T Bar A Ranch from about 1916 to 1926. Then some years off traveling, she bought a ranch on the East Boulder, south of Big Timber, Montana and lived there from 1938 to 1955.

This is a reproduction of one of her wonderful pieces in Italian Calf. The original is much patched and worn smooth by years of work and wear. It is, happily, still in the hands of Mrs. Ames' family.

This is the only skirt we hand make which is not split. The front and back are closed by elk horn buttons on wide plackets with scalloped edges. There are two pockets in the front. Hand cut fringe decorates the plackets, pockets and hem.

Juanita Parry Skirt Juanita Parry Skirt

Juanita Parry was a trick and fancy rider who performed with her sister, Etheyle in the early 1900's. Very few of her pieces have survived her career, as her life was cut short by an accident at Madison Square Garden.

We are pleased to offer this wonderful Juanita Parry Skirt. This skirt is fancy with layers of fringe at the hem as well as 24 inches of fringe falling from the pocket and adorned by hundreds of green glass pony beads. The waist is secured by tiny silver buckles along each side of the drop front panel, offering a wonderful fit than enhances every figure. Shown here with the Cody Vest.
