This is the terrific McLeod Skirt in solid color skins with appliqued stars at the hem. Lots of fun to wear with a Women of the Wild West Shirt with bold embroidered brands or matching appliques.

We are pleased to offer the Miles City Skirt. We don't know the name of the woman who wore this riding skirt, but we sure would like to know how she lost it!

The original, which is in the archives of the Montana Historical Society in Helena, was found in the mud of the Powder River outside Miles City, Montana about 40 years ago. It bore the stamp of a Miles City saddle maker. Because of its condition we presume it was worn in the 1940's.

It is a wonderful piece originally made of heavy cowhide with scalloped waist band and pockets. Two long plackets are fastened at each side by matching leather buttons. This split riding skirt is finished off with bright chrome studs at the waist, along the side and hem. Hand cut fringe graces the sides, the pocket and the hem.
